Rural Community Strategies for Managing the Economic and Social Impacts of
Climate Change: call for applications
The Arkleton Trust seeks applications for fellowships to be made from the
Bernard Conyers and the Arkleton Trust Funds. The purpose of the
fellowships is to provide younger and mid-career professionals working as
rural development practitioners with the opportunity to widen their
experience of the preparation of rural communities for climate change and
post-Kyoto measures to mitigate carbon emissions. Further, to expose
fellows to different ways of tackling issues and different cultural and
political contexts. The trustees and other advisors will be available to
provide a support network if required.
Application Deadline: August 30, 2006
