Parminder,
Check this website - www.rajant.com
They are into emergency communications. They helped during the tsunami and
the hurricanes in the US.
Thanks.
Azim.

Subject: Emergency Communications
Greetings Colleagues.
I am new to this mailing list.
My interest is generally in communications such as in early warning and post
disaster.
I have some Qs:
1) What sort of systems/works are currently in used and if
they are working well? For example during and immediately
after the aftermath, telecommunications are likely to be
restricted such as too few lines and many possibly damaged.
2) Development of new technologies such as with satellites/
web conenctions etc?
3) Also if I may ask on the academic side if you know of
courses looking into various aspects of emergency
communications?
Thank you and appreciate the info.
