POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Theoretical IR spectroscopy of solid H2 matrices containing atomic and
molecular dopants
My group has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate
who will conduct theoretical studies of atoms and molecules embedded as
substitutional impurities in solid molecular hydrogen matrices. The
objective of this work is to model the infrared activity induced in the
host matrix by the dopants.
This work involves (1) quantum Monte Carlo studies of hydrogen and
helium nanoclusters and bulk liquid and solid hydrogen, and (2) ab
initio studies of dopant + hydrogen and dopant + helium interactions.
