MOLEC XVI – Second Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
Registration for MOLEC 2006 is open at the conference website. As indicated in
the first circular, the XVI MOLEC meeting will be held in Levico Terme (TN)
Italy, from 11th to 15th September 2006 and it will focus on the different
aspects of atomic and molecular interactions, with emphasis on both
experimental and theoretical studies of the dynamics of elastic, inelastic and
reactive encounters between atoms, molecules, ions, clusters and surfaces.
The deadline for registration and abstract submission is 17th May 2006
Fees and registration:
The registration fee is 200 euro for a regular participant and 100 euro for
students. The fee covers the running costs of the Conference but NOT the
accommodation expenses which amount to 500 euro (double room) or 570 euro
(single room). The deadline for registration and payment is May 17th 2006.
For a limited number of students a reduced accommodation fee (250 euro) is
available. Students wishing to apply should send a presentation letter (by
e-mail to [log in to unmask]) from their supervisor to the Local
Organizing Committee that will select successful candidates.
Abstract submission:
All papers will be published in a “Book of Abstracts” which will be distributed
to all participants at the beginning of the Conference. In order to give us
sufficient time to work on the book, abstracts must be submitted before 17th
May 2006.
Abstract should be sent by e-mail to [log in to unmask] Please indicate
whether you would like to be considered for an oral contribution (Hot Topics).
Shortly after the submission deadline we will select a number of contributions
that we will propose for an hot topic presentation and the final scientific
program will be posted on the Programme webpage.
Abstract format:
Abstract should be submitted as MS-word (.doc) or latex (.tex) files. When
submitting your abstract please follow the guidelines given below:
1. Abstracts should be produced using the templates for Latex and MS-Word given
here: http://www.unitn.it/events/molec2006/abstract_submission.htm
2. Individual contributions should not exceed 4 single-side pages including
figures, tables and references.
3. Page size should be A4 (i.e. 210 x 297 mm) with 2.5 cm margins on all four
sides. The abstract should be written with font type Times New Roman and font
size 12.
4. The abstract should be headed by the title of the abstract written with
lower-case letters and bold type. The abstract title is to be followed by the
name(s) of the author(s), affiliation (s), country (ies). The name of the
presenting author should be underlined and the e-mail of a corresponding author
should be indicated.
5. Do not add page numbers and footnotes and try to avoid memory consuming
figures. The book of abstract will be printed in black and white. It is
therefore recommended that only black and white or clearly distinguishable grey
tones are used.
6. Before submitting all the necessary files (including those required to
generate figures) please check that your output looks like the sample output
file.
Please refer to [log in to unmask] if you have any questions or problems
with the layout of your contribution.
Best regards
The local organizing committee
