TUNISIAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY (STP)
The Second International Spectroscopy Conference ISC2007
25-28 March 2007, Sousse - Tunisia
After the first edition held in Marrakech (Morocco) in April 2003, the
Tunisian Physical Society (STP) will organise the Second International
Spectroscopy Conference ISC2007 in Sousse (Tunisia) from 25th to 28th
March 2007. The conference is sponsored by the International Union of Pure
and Applied Physics (IUPAP) and welcomes all contributions in the area of
spectroscopy.
The main topics of the conference are:
1. Spectroscopy of ion-matter and electron-matter interactions.
2. Spectroscopy of radiation-matter interactions.
3. Spectroscopy and life sciences.
4. Applications : Astrophysics, Environment, Health, Industry, etc.
The conference will take place in a first class hotel situated near the
El Kantaoui harbour on the east coast of Tunisia facing the Mediterranean
sea.
The deadlines are as follows:
* Submission of abstracts and grant applications : 15th December 2006
* Acceptance notification : 15th January 2007
* Registration and payment of participation fees : 28 February 2007
The standard registration fee is 450 TND (or 300 euros), The fee covers
full board for 4 nights and the conference documents. Instructions for
payment are indicated in the STP website : www.stp.org.tn . To cover
unavoidable expenses, a 50 TND fee will be charged for cancellations after
March 15th .
Limited funding is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, will be
made available to awardees covering a part of the participation fees.
Young researchers, from developing countries, are eligible to apply for
funding and should download the application from the STP website, fill it
