A Postdoctoral Position is Available at Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary
****************************************************************************
A one-year postdoctoral research position is available in
computational molecular spectroscopy in the Department of
Theoretical Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry, Eotvos University,
Budapest, Hungary for an EU (or associated member) applicant.
The position is financed, at about the 32.000 euros/year level,
and the research will be carried out within the framework of
the Marie Curie Research Training Network (MC RTN)
"QUAntitative Spectroscopy for Atmospheric and Astrophysical Research (QUASAAR)",
please see http://www.chem.uni-wuppertal.de/quasaar.
Research is related to theoretical rotational-vibrational spectroscopy,
including development and application of nuclear motion (DVR, FBR)
and high-level electronic structure techniques for small systems.
Particular emphasis is on property surfaces (DMS) and intensities.
Previous computational chemistry experience is required. Knowledge of
symbolic algebra (Mathematica) and the programming language FORTRAN
is desired. Familiarity with the theory of rovibrational spectroscopy
and the C++ programming language will be advantageous.
For more information, please contact Professor Attila G. Csaszar,
[log in to unmask] For further details about activities within
the research group please see http://theop11.chem.elte.hu.
Applications will be reviewed at the end of February, 2006
and will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
Starting date of the position is negotiable.
