TENURE STREAM POSITION --- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
THEORETICAL CHEMICAL PHYSICS
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO
The Department of Chemistry, University of Toronto, invites
applications for a tenure stream position at the rank of Assistant
Professor position in the Chemical Physics Theory Group
(http://www.chem.utoronto.ca/research/chemphys),
effective on or after July 1, 2007. We are seeking candidates
proposing innovative research in quantum dynamics with applications
to chemical physics. Applicants should have both a Ph.D. and relevant
postdoctoral experience, and are expected to pursue excellence in
research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The successful candidate will join a highly active research group
comprising five faculty whose research interests lie in the areas of
equilibrium and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, classical,
semiclassical and quantum mechanics of open and closed molecular
systems, quantum control, and nonlinear dynamics. Salary will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience.
