Applications are invited for at least one postdoctoral position in the
laboratory of Richard A. Loomis at Washington University in St. Louis,
MO.

The experiments are aimed at characterizing bimolecular interactions
and reactivity using a combination of frequency resolved (nanosecond
lasers) and time-resolved (femtosecond lasers) techniques coupled with
time-of-flight velocity map imaging and fluorescence-based detection.
Coherent control experiments that involve femtosecond pulse shaping and
optimizing preferred outcomes using genetic learning algorithms are
also ongoing.
Preferred candidates include those who have experience with the
appropriate chemical dynamics techniques and science. The appointment
is for one year, renewable for another year, with a salary commensurate
with qualifications. The compensation package includes health
benefits, etc. offered by Washington University. Interested candidates
