Post-doctoral positions in the Multiscale Computational Nanoscience
Laboratory at the University of Michigan
---------------------
One postdoctoral position is available starting August 2006, in
the group of Prof. A. Violi at the Departments of Mechanical and Chemical
Engineering, University of Michigan.
The position will involve the study of the exciting problem of
nanoparticle formation and growth using multiscale simulation approaches
(see Violi, Combustion and Flame 139: 279 2004).
Candidates must possess a background in computer simulation and
computational method development, as well as computer programming skills. A
track record in molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry (electronic
structure and/or dynamics) would be an added plus.
Salary is competitive and the University of Michigan contribution to
health benefits will be provided. The overall environment for this project
offers postdocs broad exposure to new theoretical methodology,
interdisciplinary concepts, and advanced computational skills.
The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, renewable
thereafter upon mutual consent.
Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae and list of
publications by electronic mail to Prof. A Violi, [log in to unmask]
