CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Birth Issues Research Conference
Noosa Blue Resort, Noosa Heads, Australia
26-27 August 2006
This Conference, sponsored by the Birth Issues Journal and Capers Bookstore,
aims to bring together, researchers, educators, clinicians and consumers
interested in research across the childbearing years. The focus will be on
sharing research findings and critically analysing the research and evidence
base that informs contemporary practice. Invited speakers include Professor
Marc Keirse, Flinders University, Adelaide, co-editor of 'Guide to Effective
Care in Pregnancy and Childbirth'.
Abstracts are invited which reflect the aim of the conference. A broad
range of topics will be considered, as well as innovative presentation
formats. Abstracts will be peer reviewed and presenters are invited to
submit their paper for consideration to Birth Issues.
Topics could include:
Reports of completed research or work in progress
Teaching and promoting research based practice
Innovative methodological approaches
Ethical issues and concerns
Abstract details:
a.. Closing date for submission 31 March 2006.
b.. Maximum 300 words
c.. Format - Arial 12 point font, with 1.5 line spacing
d.. Include abstract title and presentation requirements (audio visual
requirements etc)
e.. On a separate page, include details of presenters, with affiliation,
email, phone, and postal address
f.. All presenters must register for the conference
