Research Assistant/Fellow
The Maternal Health Group has a part time vacancy for a research
assistant/fellow with a background in anthropology, sociology or a general
social science to work as part of the DFID Research Programme Consortium on
maternal and neonatal health.
The research assistant/fellow will assist with qualitative interviewing,
literature review, data analysis of ethnographic qualitative material, and
writing of a research protocol in the anthropology/sociology of research
communication.
Applicants for this post must be graduates with a postgraduate qualification
in a social science field. Candidates with the requisite postgraduate degree
but with minimal field and writing experience who have an interest in
gaining additional experience in anthropological theory and method would
also be suitable, and are encouraged to apply.
The appointment will begin in January 2007 and will run until June 2007, and
will be made pro-rata on the School’s Research Assistant/Fellow scale from
£27, 232-£31,281 according to qualifications and experience
