There is a growing understanding of the complex interactions between
socio-cultural, biological, political and economic influences upon

infant and child feeding, eating and nutrition.

The conference aims to:

Enhance understanding of the complex interactions between

To explore the nature of the relationship that is engendered between
mother and infant in connection with various types of nutritive and
nurturing behaviour.

To increase understandings of breastfeeding as a biocultural activity.

To focus upon key strategic initiatives that may impact upon practices
related to infant and child feeding, eating and nutrition.

Papers, posters or workshops are invited on any aspect of infant and
child nutrition and feeding practices to include biological, social,
cultural, psychological, political and economic issues.

The scope includes fetal and neonatal nutrition, infant and child
nutrition, feeding and eating, up to and including adolescence.

Thirty minute papers will be presented at concurrent sessions and
