Hi Deborah,
I recently did a literature search (not a comprehensicve one) on
maternal age as a risk factor for adverse perinatal outcomes (see
below). You may find some of the articles helpful, most of them have an
abstract in Medline.
The bottom line of the whole thing is that maternal age has been shown
to be a single risk factor for spontaneous abortion. For all the other
adverse outcomes the results are not consistent. Furthermore the
different studies use different cut offs for age which makes comparison
rather difficult.
