Lancaster University is pleased to invite applications for a Lectureship
in British History, on the Lecturer A scale. The appointment is intended
to: strengthen the Department of History’s research profile through
quality contributions to the forthcoming Research Assessment Exercise;
enhance the activities of one of the Department’s research clusters; and
sustain the Department’s outstanding reputation for teaching. The
successful applicant will be encouraged to develop courses in their own
specialist field, and will be required to design and teach a survey course
in EITHER Early-Modern British History (1500–1750) OR Modern British
History (since 1750).
