University of Manchester co-hosts a special seminar by
Professor Barbara Stafford (Department of Art History, the University of
Chicago) on
'Putting Images Back in Mind: From Representation to Mental Representation'.

Professor Stafford is William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor
at the University of Chicago and her work investigates key intersections
between the arts, sciences and myriad visual technologies from the
seventeenth century to the contemporary era.
The seminar is co-sponsored by the Centre for the History of Science,
Technology and Medicine, the Cultural Theory Institute, Art History and
Visual Studies, and the AHRC Research Centre for Studies of Surrealism
and its Legacies at the University of Manchester.
