The University of Edinburgh is pleased to advertise a three-year
temporary lectureship in history and sociology of medicine, located in
the University’s prestigious Science Studies Unit. The successful
applicant will replace a senior member of the Science Studies Unit for
the duration of a three-year secondment. Applicants will be active
researchers in the field of science studies, and will be capable of
teaching in the areas of history and sociology of medicine. Expertise in
the history or sociology of medicine in Africa or other developing
regions will be viewed particularly favourably but is not a
pre-condition of the post.

Salary: GBP 24,352 - GBP 36,959 .
The post is available from 1 September 2006. The closing date for
