All -
I'm after any recommendations of good readings on how science policy has
shifted as a result of the war on terror. Anything might be relevant:
analyses of shifts in spending patterns, qualitative shifts in styles of
research, perhaps even Formanesque arguments about the content of knowledge
under new regimes. US-specific or internationally comparative studies would
be particularly welcome. A historically-informed analysis would be ideal.
When I've lectured on this before I've used fairly raw statistical data to
make my points. Now I feel there must be good secondary literature, but I'm
not having luck finding it.
In return, if there's a diverse untapped literature out there I promise a
digest of the literature to anyone interested.
cheers
Jon
