Just thought I'd pass on this reply I received recently from
Blair's-Bullshit-Commandos.
What do you think my reply should be?

Dear Mr Kiernan
Thank you for your e-mail regarding BBC news.
Firstly, please accept our apologies for the delay in replying. We know
our correspondents appreciate a quick response and we are sorry you have
had to wait on this occasion.
I understand that you felt there was not enough coverage of the recent
anti-Iraq war demonstrations which took place on the 18 March 2006.
I can assure you that this is not the case and would like to draw your
attention to the BBC 'Newswatch' programme which covered the
news-worthiness of such demonstrations. You can read the 'Newswatch'
article on this issue at:

I appreciate you may continue to feel differently about this situation,
therefore, please be assured that I have registered your complaint and
concerns on the daily log, this is an internal document which will be made
available to the BBC News production team as well as the senior management
of the BBC.
May I take this opportunity to thank you again for taking time to contact
the BBC.
Regards
Katherine Tsang

{Comments:}
To mark the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, 100,000 people
assembled and marched in central London on Saturday 18 March, calling
for an end to the occupation of Iraq.
The BBC has admitted that it did not report the protest on the national
news because it claimed the numbers did not warrant it.
In fact, demonstrations of this size are rare in UK society.
The far lower police estimate of the numbers was no surprise. The
initial police estimate of the 2-million-plus demonstration on 15
February, 2003, was 90,000.
BBC News did report the mass demonstration in France on the same night
as the 18 March London protest.
We also note that the BBC gave wide coverage to a demonstration on 25
February of several hundred people in Oxford supporting animal testing.
The anti-war movement is vibrant, diverse and powerful. It is the
largest and most sustained social movement this country has ever seen.
Its stance represents the opinion of the majority of the population in a
way no mainstream political party does.
I find it astonishing that such popular mobilisations are ignored
by a so-called public service broadcaster.
