Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Broadcast Media
Salary: £27,990-£34,182/£32,997-£41,556 per annum inclusive
The Media, Information and Communications subject area seeks to appoint
a lecturer/senior lecturer in the theory and practice of Broadcast
Media. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with research
and production interests that would allow them to employ their expertise
across other areas of research interest in the department, including
health, social care, regeneration, and work with communities and
disadvantaged social groups
You will contribute to theory and practice-based teaching on our UG and
PG programmes, to short course development, and to the supervision of
MAs and PhDs. You should have experience of teaching media theory and
production in Higher Education, and some experience in the media
industries. You will be expected to initiate and participate in income
generation and knowledge transfer activities. You should have, or be
near completion of a PhD, possess up-to-date digital production skills,
and have a good track record of published research in media, and/or
media production outputs of high professional standing.
