When we did this last summer, I was unaware of the tools linked to in
this thread. They would have made life considerably easier.
The New-York Historical Society has a podcast for their American
Revolution radio plays (Warning: this is aimed at kids and has a US
perspective on late 18th Century events):
The web page is here:
http://www.amrevonline.org/museum/kids_page.cgi?rm=stories
The podcast linking to the same streaming MP3 files is here
http://www.amrevonline.org/museum2/index.cgi2?a=pod_radioplays
We created a podcast (manually in our case following apple's guidelines
for creating a podcast
http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html ) for the radio
plays and then submitted it to the iTunes podcast directory.
If you'd like to hear the podcast and have a copy of iTunes, go to
Podcasts > Podcast Directory then search for 'N-YHS' or "American
Revolution".
I, too hope this helps. Thanks.
