Dear colleagues,
I wish to bring to your attention two advertised vacancies within the
Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
The Herbarium at Kew is committed to a significant new
programme to develop its digital collections and to expand and
broaden their use. These are new posts offer the successful
candidates exciting opportunities to influence the future of
collections management at Kew.
A manager is sought to champion the digital collection: including
strategic development, policy & management of major projects. The
manager will be expected to lead on collaboration with other
collections within Kew and internationally and raise funds for
priority projects.
A digital collections officer is sought to take responsibility for
digital resources within the Herbarium: including data quality,
procedural and data standard issues. This post will include a
strong
training and support component.
