The Museum of London is looking for one or two developers to create two flash applications for a new teachers microsite that will form part of the Learning website.
The microsite will provide a bank of resources for teachers bringing their classes to the museum, including Flash movie introductions to selected galleries for use on an interactive whiteboard, and Flash-based online quizzes for use by single children following up visit-based learning at school.
The selected developer(s) will be charged with creating template type applications that can be used by non-technical staff to produce an unlimited number of these introductory movies and quizzes.
Please note that the Museum of London now expects all new web developments to be WAI-AA compliant. Evidence of experience in creating AA compliant Flash applications will be one of the assessment criteria, along with good quality design work for teachers and KS2 & 3 pupils, experience of delivering extensible flash applications, experience of incorporating video, audio, 3d modelling etc into flash movies, experience of working with museum collections, preferably in an e-learning context and good project management skills.
