Yesterday's stories inspiring today's lives
Here at Brighton and Hove, we've plenty to inspire people. With three nationally designated collections, recently refurbished museums and galleries, The Royal Pavilion and much more, the sheer breadth of our cultural assets is quite simply outstanding.
But making those assets relevant and meaningful to people's lives is another matter - which is where you come in. Leading a large and talented team, you'll work to broaden access for residents and visitors alike. Your creativity and entrepreneurial approach will come to the fore as you explore new methods of interpretation, develop exhibition strategies and build a strong connection between the city's heritage and its future. In short, we need you to put the city firmly on the international cultural destination map.

A relevant degree and postgraduate qualification are essential, combined with proven extensive senior management experience in a museum, gallery or historic building environment. You'll also need first-rate team leadership and financial planning skills, a strong curatorship background and the proven ability to co-ordinate large-scale projects.

For an informal discussion, please contact Janita Bagshawe on 01273 292840.
