Invitation to Tender: Parliamentary Archive / 24 Hour Museum - website
about the Abolition of the Slave Trade, 1807
To mark the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in
1807 the Parliamentary Archives and 24 Hour Museum are working in
partnership to create a website based on the relationship between
Parliament and the slave trade.
The website will showcase key documents on this subject held by the
Parliamentary Archives, together with related objects from a range of
other institutions, including paintings, drawings and artefacts. It will
be dynamic and reactive, with user interactivity at its core; making
best use of web 2.0 technologies to enable a high and sustainable degree
of user engagement.
The Parliamentary Archives and 24 Hour Museum are looking to identify a
suitable company to build this site.
