As part of our commitment to promoting good practice in copyright and
rights management for the cultural heritage sector, MDA is delighted
to announce the creation of a copyright secondment opportunity.
Ideally this secondment would run for an eight week period with an
allocation of two days a week to MDA from the candidate´s employer.
The secondee will:
* Conduct a copyright audit, researching and recording the status of
rights in MDA publications in all media
* Negotiate and formalize the holding of rights that MDA may not own,
liaising with the relevant bodies
* Work with a rights management database, creating permanent records
to meet the SPECTRUM standard
The secondment will be based at MDA's offices in Cambridge with
supervision and support from MDA´s IP Officer, Naomi Korn and
Knowledge Manager, Sande Nuttall.
How to apply
Applications and enquiries are particularly invited from museum
professionals who have attended at least one of MDA´s copyright
workshops (or similar training) and who wish to enhance their
