STN International, the world-renowned online host, connects those seeking
scientific, technical or patent information to an extensive range of the
most complete and authoritative databases. The Agency for STN International
for the UK and Ireland is based at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and
promotes STN International through STN training courses, customer site
visits, exhibitions and maintaining a help desk.
Promoting STN to existing and potential customers, the aim of your role as
a member of a small team will be to increase usage of STN databases and
services. In addition to seeking new users, you will also maintain and
support existing users and be involved in the development of new marketing
initiatives and promotions. The job will involve some travel within the UK.
With excellent presentation, communication, organisation and problem- solving skills, you will demonstrate an aptitude for sales and marketing, hold a degree in a scientific discipline and have a background in information science. In addition, you will have relevant knowledge of the information industry, with particular expertise in online searching techniques, including familiarity with STN.
Excellent benefits include an annual salary in the range of £25,860 to
£28,740, 26 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance and private
healthcare.
