I am interested in knowing whether or not libraries have any policies in
place to protect their special collections from light damage.
It is common in the museums sector to limit and record light exposure
during exhibition and allow objects a corresponding 'rest' period in the
dark, but do any libraries limit the number of times vulnerable and/or
valuable items are trundled out for promotional or other purposes? How
workable is this in a library context?
Many thanks (in anticipation),
Sharon Connell
