Good afternoon.
I am in the process of preparing an hours training session into an
overview of evidence based medicine and I am looking for advice and tips
on including a practical element into the session. I plan to run a
presentation of evidence based medicine for approximately 30/40 mins.
Then I would like to give the health professionals chance to explore
databases such as Medline, Cochrane Library and Clinical Evidence, with
two of us on hand to deal with questions and problems. The session will
include a mix of professions/departments
Does anybody have any experience in this?
Does it work better to leave attendants to explore the resources
themselves and to look and use their own examples
or provide some pre tasks to do.
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks!
