Thank you to all of you who have submitted witty and imaginative entries to
our "Librarians' Songbook" End of Year Competition.
Just a reminder that the Competition is open until 5pm GMT on Tuesday 2nd
January 2006. Although entries must be submitted by UK librarians working in
a library or information unit (academic, charities, NHS, professional
associations etcetera) that supports NHS staff please feel free to involve
your users or your families in coming up with entries. There will be a £ 10
book token for the best individual entry and a £ 15 book token for the best
“set of three”.
To keep you motivated here are a few more that we have come up with - of
course we are not eligible for the prizes but we wanted to join in the fun.

Dr Singleton in November's LIS Update have the following selection to choose
from:
Manic Street Preachers - If you tolerate this, YOUR Libraries will be next
Tubeway Army - Our Friends Connecting?
Stranglers - No More Journals
And:

We dig into our album collection to celebrate the joys of electronic books:
Phil Collins - No [Dust] Jacket Required
Sex Pistols - Never Minds the B-ooks
Finally the current Number One single captures my personal joy at being part
of such a vibrant profession:
