I agree - I don't find non-Christians offended by Christmas. The assumption they would be offended is itself offensive.
Barring unforeseen circumstances Epsom and St Helier are open on the days between the Christmas and New Year holidays.

And I just realised that article is a year old...
A few years back they changed the name of the Christmas market in
Birmingham to "Winterville" so as not to offend non Christians.
They didn't bother asking non Christians if they would appreciate this,
the fact is they didn't, and this year it's once again being called a
Christmas market (actually the "Frankfurt Christmas Market as it's
themed"), because so many people (form all faiths) were offended by
"Winterville"....

Alan,
I seem to remember last year (or was it wishful thinking?) that some
brave soul offering to keep a list of which libraries would be open over
Christmas and the New Year. Then we could contact the said brave soul
and find out who was on duty where.
By the way, are we still supposed to mention Christmas, or is that
considered offensive? :-)
Gordon.

Hello all,
Do you open between Christmas and new year?
I have had a skim through the lis-medical archives and could not find
any prior discussion of this issue.
Last year saw a flurry of debate in this part of the world where a large
majority shut up shop for the few days concerned.
I am curious if this is replicated across the country?
Newham has opened over the past few years and generally we found usage
to be practically as normal for the first couple of days with a notable
tailing off on the afternoon of the last day of the week / New Years
eve.
Cheers
Alan
