Personally I'm going to ask Father Christmas for a new jiscmail list for
all those people seeking articles and books but I fear he may not have a
.ac.uk email address.

On another subject did anyone else receive their Cilip Gazette for 6th
Oct this week?

Thanks for this Angus. It is true that it isn't a busy list but it is a
very pertinent one to all resources provided by core content. It is open
to NHS library staff and suppliers of core content but is closed list.

If you post to it - it is more likely that people concerned with core
content, both the core content team and supplier will provide a quick
and knowledgeable answer. What tends to happen on LIS-MEDICAL is that
people tend to speculate or give their impression of what may or may not
be happening?

Also you have to be aware that airing gripes or confused answers are
being read by a very wide audience. Sometimes it is good air some dirty
washing in public - other times I think it needs to be discussed in a
securer list.

I suppose because I deal with suppliers on a regular basis I tend to be
wary of what I post to when things are not going particularly well.

Regards

Andy

I'd suggest that anyone who doesn't use it (and works with NCC
materials
a lot) should have a look at the core-content list. It doesn't tend to
generate that much traffic - certainly a lot less than lis-medical, so
you won't be adding that much in the way of email admin. Also there
are
announcements and news sent to that list that don't always make it to
this one.

Cheers,
Angus.

Not all of us are on both lists Andy, if I was on the core content
list
too I'd be doing nothing but looking through emails all day, and
although you are right that this discussion is probably better off on
the core content discussion list, I for one want to hear news of this
kind on this list as I wouldn't get the info anywhere else...

Please ask this type of question via the Core Content list as it is
the
most pertinent one to any questions on resources provided to the NHS
via
Core Content.

I'm very confused - have details of our print holdings been added to
TD-Net then? I can't seem to find ours if they have - maybe I'm
looking
in the wrong place!!

well, folks - the emails I set up from Zetoc DON'T all seem to have
been
neatly transferred over to TDNet: I had the secretary of one of our

Hi

We are experiencing similar problems across the Kent, Surrey & Sussex
patch. Access is intermittent to say the least!

Have emailed both Eduserv & TDNet for further info, but have heard
nothing as yet.

Roll on Friday!!

Just a quick check - we don't seem to be able to get access to TDNet.
I
administer Athens for 3 Trusts and whichever I log in with I get the
message:

'Dear Athens Patron, Your login failed. It appears that your
institution does not have access to TDNet through Athens. TDNet
Customer
Service'

I have been in and checked that the resource allocation is correct.
Has
anyone successfully got through yet? Does anyone know if the promised
cacade of TDNet on Sunday was in fact delayed?

Thanks
