Apologies for cross-posting.
A small group of us is trying to develop a standard framework to be used
when assessing requests to the PCT for new (and expensive usually)
treatments/services - both on an individual and population level.
I would be very grateful if anyone out there who has been through this
process would be willing to share their policies with us. Our emphasis is
not about the process, but more to do with the decision-making framework ie
what questions are raised, by whom and how are they answered?
All contributions gratefully accepted.
Also, because we've only just started down this route, if there is a gold
standard reference on this, I'd be pleased to get the citation.
Kind regards
John
