Keep declaration forms (or other p/copying records) for a minimum of 6
years, because the Statute of Limitations states that no one can start a
court action against a third party more than six years after the alleged
illegal act.

Dear Jessica,
You mean, for how long should libraries retain copyright declaration forms?
I put this query to CILIP only a week or two ago, but have not yet received
a response. So would be very pleased to have some light thrown on the
matter.

Subject: How long do you keep details of copying?
Hello all,
I know that libraries need to keep details of what they have provided in
the way of copying of copyrighted work for the CLA... but for how many
years do you need to keep these details for? I can't see the answer in an
obvious place on the CLA website - do any of you know?
I'm doing a space saving clear out and would really appreciate knowing...
otherwise we will end up keeping all this stuff indefinitely.
Thanks,
Jessica Rundle.
