Managing change in the workplace
A panel debate with Kate Arnold, NHS Direct; Kim Horwood, PTSC; Jane Heenan,
Fidelity Investments International. Chaired by Julia Hordle, Intelligent
Resources.
The panel will discuss how they have embraced or pushed change within their
teams or the workplace and how to make a success of managing change.
Changing technologies: "Working in a wired world"
Euan Semple, Independent Consultant
Formally Head of KM at the BBC, Euan is now an independent consultant. He
was voted IWR 2005 Information Professional of the Year. Euan will be
speaking on the impact that forums, blogs, wikis and social networking tools
have had in making the BBC more efficient and creative and how they will
inevitably impact on every workplace in the future.
Changing relationships: "Who is a buyer and who is a seller?"
Manny Cohen, RM Online Ltd
Creator of aRMadillo, Manny will look at the changes in the dynamics of the
business information industry due to the latest advances in technology and
the internet.
Product Reviews
Vendors presenting include Swets, Company Watch Ltd, ICC, Bailey Solutions,
LexisNexis, Cartouche, RM, Infocandy, Thomson Business Intelligence, 7Side
and EBSCO. Each vendor will be given a 3 minute slot to update you on a
particular product, tell you about a new development or highlight a new
product feature. The reviews will be scheduled in half hour slots, which
will be delivered between the seminars, with a maximum of 10 product reviews
in each slot.
