COST-EFFECTIVE CONTENT MANAGEMENT
London, Thursday 9 February (0930 - 1300)
<http://www.alpsp.org/events/2006/TUC/default.htm>
http://www.alpsp.org/events/2006/TUC/default.htm
(Jointly organised by the Association of Learned and Professional Society
Publishers and <http://www.bsg.co.uk/> BSG)
Content Management systems have come down in price and industry standards
mean publishers do not face being 'locked in' to a specific vendor and
proprietary format. Whether you publish journals, magazines, directories or
books, you need to be aware of and able to evaluate the benefits of a
structured approach to publishing information.
Is it worth the investment? Is it simply a cost-saving tool or are there
revenue benefits as well? Are there standard procedures to follow? Speakers
will present a series of case studies and there will be plenty of time for
questions.
