documentaries and interviews led by Paul McGeough which discuss the
impact of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks upon international
security, foreign policy and attitudes across the world. There are
specific sections focusing upon the impact in Afghanistan, Iran,
Lebanon, Iraq and the USA. Timelines of key events in these regions are
provided. It offers a useful Australian perspective on events.

This site is maintained by the manuscripts Division of Cornell
University Library. It provides information about the Lafayette
Collection. This comprises over 10,000 items concerning the life and
career of Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier, marquis de
Lafayette (1757-1834), best known for his role in the American and
French Revolutions. The collection includes manuscripts, correspondence
and documents, graphics, broadsides, and printed books, as well as
microforms, artifacts and memorabilia. A small percentage of these
materials have been digitised and can be viewed online. This includes
copies of key manusacripts and letters relating to French politics
1800-1834 and the French revolution 1789-1799. The site also includes a
guide to the collection and life and political career of Lafayette.

CEMI Monitoring Centre Montenegro

The CEMI Monitoring Centre Montenegro was established in 2000 to oversee
the implementation of democracy and the rule of law in Montenegro. Its
duties include election observation missions.The English language
website provides information on the role of the institution and its
work. It includes press releases, annual reports and papers. These

funding, full text electoral laws and information about local,
parliamentary and presidential elections from the late 1990s onwards.

AfriMAP: the Africa governance monitoring and advocacy project is
organised by the Soros Foundation. It aims to conduct systematic audits
of African government performance in three areas: the justice sector and
the rule of law; political participation and democracy; and effective
delivery of public services. The website provides information on the
aims of the project and its work. It offers free access to its reports
and an online library of publications from other human rights
organisations. These include discussion of accountability, human rights
abuses and political corruption in Africa. It is possible to search the
reports by individual nation or by topics . Topics include the conduct
of elections, the criminal justice system and policing, democracy,
political participation and the delivery of public services.
