COPYRIGHT: KEEPING LEGAL

Led by Paul Pedley, a leading authority on copyright, this half-day workshop will help participants determine whether their copying has the necessary authorization, whether by statute, permission, licence or contract. By the end of the workshop delegates will have a good understanding of the risks involved in copying material, and will have a better idea of what they need to do in order to stay within the law.
Participants will be given a number of practical tips and suggestions of steps that they can take to demonstrate that they uphold the moral and legal rights of the creators and distributors of intellectual property whilst also defending the legitimate needs and interests of their information users.
