Hot topics: the Royal Society's Science Policy collection
The Library's Science Policy collection contains reports from study
groups worldwide, demonstrating the Society's historical involvement in
policy issues. This talk will use documents from the collection to
discuss some long-term themes of interest, including the beginnings of
climate change science. Current policy work on this and other topics
will be outlined by a member of our Science Policy team.

Robert Hooke: the archival tragedy of dying intestate
When Robert Hooke died in March 1703 his will was incomplete and
unsigned. In spite of the best efforts of friends like Richard Waller
his enormous archive was rapidly dispersed, and much of it lost. This
event will explore some of the consequences of leaving a legacy of
disorganised documents.
