ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF INFORMATION

SURVEYING AND AUDITING RECORDS

Setting up a new records management programme or reviewing an existing one
should begin with a survey and audit of the records and information in all
the operational units of the organisation. This one day course will take
participants through the process beginning with designing the data
collection questionnaire, deciding on the data collection method, conducting
interviews, analysing the data, developing retention schedules and compiling
a report on the survey and audit findings. There will be practical exercises
to enable participants to develop the necessary skills.
