On October 5, Simon Eliot will be delivering the first lecture in a new
annual series in the history of the book at Yale University's Beinecke Rare
Book and Manuscript Library. Simon Eliot is Professor of the History of the
Book at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, and he will be
speaking on "Recovering the Contents: Public, Circulating and Pornographic
Libraries in the United Kingdom, 1857-1912." Please join us at the
