Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that the Intute service was launched on Thursday
13th July 2006.
See the news release at:
<http://www.intute.ac.uk/pressreleases.html>
Intute is the new face of the Resource Discovery Network (RDN), and is a
free national service enabling lecturers, researchers and students to
discover and access quality Internet resources. Intute exists to advance
education and research by promoting the most intelligent use of the
Internet.
Intute has been created by bringing together the eight hubs of the RDN
(SOSIG, EEVL, Humbul, BIOME, Artifact, PSIgate, GeSource, Altis) and the
Virtual Training Suite. The new service provides information and tools to
help you access the best of the Web for education and research.
There are a number of free support materials for adaptation and re-use in
teaching and training, including "Quick Guides" and Powerpoint slides at:

Any librarians wishing to order supplies of the new intute leaflets should
contact us via the online form at:

Please come and visit the new service to see the changes that have taken
place. If you currently have links to the RDN services from your own site
and/or publications please update these to point to the new Intute service
