Hi Graham,
Just to let you know you are not alone with this problem. Our IT department
have been trying to rectify this since October, but we don't seem to be any
further forward. If I receive anything useful I will let you know.

Subject: Adobe Acrobat problem
Hi
We are currently experiencing a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.8
not completing the downloading processes associated with SEDs in our
computing Open Acces areas.
It would seem that the script that tells Adobe to open runs okay, but
after that Reader simply displays a blank Adobe screen and doesn't
proceed with downloading the document.
This does not occur on staff computers, which function correctly.
The attempt to download the document is not even registered by BL's SED
server (allowing the ILL Office to recover the request).
Adobe.com have been spectacularly unhelpful (according to the computing
officer investigating this), so we were wondering if anyone else who has
rolled out SED has come across anything similar and what was done to fix
it!
Any help or suggestions gratefully received.
Graham
