The below Atypon news may be of interest to Lis-e-journals readers.

MAHWAH, New Jersey and SANTA CLARA, California, August 31 2006, Lawrence
Erlbaum Associates, Inc. (LEA) and Atypon Systems, Inc. today announced that
they will continue their partnership to deliver LEA Online, LEA's online
publishing platform, to end users for an additional 5 years, as well as
explore additional strategic electronic publishing initiatives that add
further value for LEA's customers.

With Atypon as LEA's strategic technology partner, LEA Online will continue
to be powered by Atypon Premium, the leading full service electronic
publishing platform. Atypon Premium gives LEA complete control over all
aspects of its business, from content upload to delivery, and flexible
support of business models and outstanding marketing tools allow LEA to
increase readership, impact, and revenue.

LEA chose to extend their relationship with Atypon not only because of the
robust technology behind Atypon Premium, but also because of the high levels
of reliable service that Atypon provides. LEA is particularly keen to
continue the close working relationship it has established with its
dedicated account and project management support team, and product experts
from both companies are already collaborating to maintain LEA's position as
a leader in academic publishing.

"I'm very pleased to announce the extension of our relationship with
Atypon," said Joseph Petrowski, Executive Vice President, LEA. "We need a
technology partner that is focused on the future. Atypon's sophisticated
platform and devoted team have allowed us to achieve growth beyond our
expectations. We're looking forward to setting the bar even higher and
surpassing it again."

"As one of our long-standing clients, I am absolutely delighted that LEA has
demonstrated their continued confidence in us in such a significant way,"
said Martin Marlow, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Atypon. "I'm
particularly excited about partnering on the future development of LEA's
online presence. LEA is keen to discuss how we can help them and we have
dedicated a team ready to do so."
