Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology article discussed on NPR's
Morning Edition
"Bacterial Contamination of Keyboards: Efficacy and Functional Impact of
Disinfectants," a study published in the April issue of Infection Control
and Hospital Epidemiology, was discussed on National Public Radio's Morning
Edition on Thursday, 27 April 2006. Lead author William A. Rutala
(University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) was interviewed for the Personal
Health segment, "Disinfectant Wipes Safe for Computer Keyboards."
The original article by Rutala et al. (Infection Control and Hospital
Epidemiology 27:4, April 2006), assessed the effectiveness of several
different commercial disinfectants against potential pathogens cultured from
computer keyboards in hospitals.
