Hi Everyone,
We are still waiting to hear back from MIT Press re: a number of problems,
but so far we haven't yet heard anything back from them.
As it appears there are lots of us still with problems setting up access to
MIT Press journals on the new site, will MIT Press extend its deadline
beyond the 30th April for subscribers to continue to access their journals
on ingenta until all the various problems have been resolved?
Cheers
Lesley

Thanks to all for your replies. It's very reassuring to know I wasn't just
imagining things with the disappearing access.
What a lot of time we're all wasting.
The 30th is looming!

TDR was working on Friday, but is no longer recognising our registration

We've had a similar problem regarding the IP address issue. Initially I
registered our IP range for each individual account and tested them...all
worked fine. I checked again in the afternoon and only 2 of the accounts
worked. I emailed MIT who eventually responded advising me that they would
send the issue on to their tech support. Deciding this would probably take
too long I logged in again added the IP address to each account and this
seemed to have resolved the problem (and we've still not heard back from
their tech support department)!
Two further things to add are firstly we appear to be missing 9 titles from
our list of subscribed journals - every time I email MIT this seems to be
ignored - the next email will highlight this in red bold! Secondly we have
three titles that don't work at all at the moment. I was advised October is
experiencing technical difficulties, but is anyone having problems accessing
'Computer Music Journal' and 'TDR/The Drama Review'?
Kind regards

So here's me thinking I'd cracked it - I have successfully created the admin
account and activated our subscriptions.
However, we have lots of different subscriber numbers for the journals we
subscribe to so it has created a whole list of "institutions" for me to
"manage" within the admin area e.g. University College London (xxxxx),
University College London (yyyyy). Not a problem, you'd think, this happens
all the time. BUT when I add our IP addresses, it doesn't add them to all
the "institutions", just the one I am "managing" at that moment. And if I
try to add the same IP addresses to all the other "institutions" it tells me
that I can't because they overlap with another IP range!!! Agggghhh! Is this
going to be like the OUP system where you have to have lots of separate
admin accounts for each different subscriber number? At least with that you
could register the same IP addresses.
