Enterprising E-Content: the 6th E-Books Event
This year's e-book event is being held at the Glasgow Metropolitan College on Friday 27th October from 10.00 to 16.00
The Conference will be chaired by John MacColl of the Digital Library Division at the University of Edinburgh.
The Programme features the following speakers:

Janet Seaton from the Scottish Parliament on e-content
Sarah Prag from the BBC on their downloading and podcasting trial
Andrew James from East Lothian Museums Service on their podcasting initiative

Case study 1: Helen Durndell, Glasgow University Library on iPods
Case study 2: Ian and Paul Stringer from e-commerce on
"The way forward - downloads and talking books"

The event is jointly organised by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC), the Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries (SCURL), and the MultiMedia Information Technology Group Scotland (MMITS).

The Multimedia Information Technology Group Scotland (MmITS) is sponsoring one place for a CILIP chartership candidate studying under the supervision of a Scottish library and information sector institution. The cost of the conference fees and travel expenses within Scotland will be met. The successful candidate will be expected to produce a short report on the Conference.
