Experience

at the Ewart Room, CILIP, 7 Ridgmount Street, London WC1E 7AE
Speakers:
Barbara Spina, Africa Librarian at the School of
Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), will be
talking about her experiences at the
International Federation of Library Associations
(IFLA) World Library and Information Congress 2006 in Seoul, South Korea.
Paul Sturges, Professor of Library Studies at the
Department of Information Science, Loughborough
University, and Chair of IFLA Freedom of Access
to Information and Freedom of Expression (FAIFE)
Committee, will talk about 'Soul searching in
Seoul' or how he really feels about freedom of
expression, illustrated by the Danish cartoons
debate which took place at IFLA Conference this year.
Refreshments will be provided.
This is a free event, open to all and booking is
not necessary; however, it would be helpful if
you could let us know if you are planning to attend to get an idea of
numbers.
