Hello Lynda and all candidates,
There is no backlog. This is the procedure that takes into account the size of our Board, the numbers of submissions they deal with -- 300 to 400 each year -- and the other CILIP work they voluntarily undertake on behalf of Members.
Agree targets and deadlines with mentors and supervisors, if that helps, and send your applications only when you feel they are ready.
We send applications immediately to assessors but not within a month of the Board meeting.
Best wishes
Michael

Subject: Next question- failed submissions
Hi-
Thanks for all your answers. From your replies it seems as though there is
a backlog of chartership submissions to be marked. It also looks like I
will have to include details of my new job role if I have to re-submit my
work.
Talking about re-submissions... for those of you that had to re-submit your
chartership reports and porfolios, what section(s) were the faults found
on? I'm curious to know if there are specific sections (Route A 2002 regs)
that candidates find the most difficult to complete. I'm not too sure about
my answers for the 'Information Systems and ICT' section or
the 'Information Environment and Policy' section.
Feel free to email me directly with your responses.
Thanks again,
Lynda
