Hi all,
I am also currently working towards a PhD at the University of the West of
England. I'm almost a year in (oh how the time really flies!) researching
the psychosocial impact of a diagnosis of DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ),
which is a fascinating subject to be working in and one that i really feel
health psychology has something to offer.
I completed a MSc at Nottingham Uni last summer and kind of fell into the
PhD route. Although i am enjoying it immensely i didn't originally think
it was something i would do. As Gareth commented, i am also interested in
hearing from others who are completing stage two alongside a PhD (because
i have always planned to do this but as yet have not managed to start!)
I will be presenting a poster at the DHP but was glad not to get accepted
for an oral presentation (good luck - i'm sure it'll be fine)
Thanks, Fiona
