CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT
Spatial Literacy in Teaching: Communicating GIScience
A one-day knowledge transfer conference for educators, young researchers and
all interested professionals.
Sponsored by the Splint Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning*, and
the Royal Geographical Society (Quantitative Methods Research Group,
GIScience Research Group and Postgraduate Forum).
Venue: The Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AR,
Date: February 24th 2006.
To celebrate the launch of www.spatial-literacy.org, this one day conference
will showcase some recent developments in spatial analysis, software and
pedagogy. It will be followed by a publisher reception for three recent
books in the area. Confirmed speakers include:
